Dragon Age: Origins Message Board  

I have the original unpatched retail version and everytime i enable the trainer a message saying "Dragon Age Origins has stopped working. The program will close..." AV is disabled. The other trainers, however, are ok.

Tested seconds ago, authenticated flawlessly, disable all your computers security measures not just Anti virus (I didn't have to disable anything but each computer is in some way or the other different), it should work as it did for me.

I also am having a problem getting this to open. ALL other trainers work fine have tried every version of the trainer none will open.

I dunno what else to disable, the only security apps i have other than my AV are: firewall and malwarebytes and thats not running in the background. I even ran it in offline mode, still the same. ps i ran DA2 trainer and its fine.

If you are on Windows 8, the only version of the trainer that supports that OS is the latest one, 1.05, so maybe try updating?

im on W7-Ult 64-bit, sorry i should have mentioned it earlier. And as the other poster said, all versions behave the same way.

I use 3. DRAGON AGE: ORIGINS MEGA TRAINER (PATCH #5 STEAM/D2D)

I have been using this one for what feels like years with no problems at all. Since mine is on steam.

I advise you to delete the trainer turn off ALL protection! Redownload trainer set the game (Steam or origin to run in admin mode) Then set the trainer to run in admin mode. Also Check your IE if its IE10 revert back to IE9. As IE10 can effect this trainer.

You are the man, your suggestion about IE10 being a possible cause was spot on. I uninstalled it and presto! It worked, so now thanks to you and CH for this forum, i can enjoy this new found "advantage." I wouldn't have suspected IE10, not in a million years.
