Cal is right, trainer AND editor works without any flaws whatsoever on steam version, tested with windows 7 64 bits, running x86 game exe.

jackbig Are you using the trainer without using the 32 bit exe that comes with the trainer ? the VanHelsing_x86.exe is not working!
The trainer works if you use the 32bit exe. however...
if I run the trainer and start the game from my steam list, it wont work!

I start the game by means of the x86.exe cal provided, or i start the game with the x86.exe in the game folder, both options work for me.
It all depends what windows 7 32 bits or windows 7 64 bits you are running, the standard steam icon that the install of the game places on your desktop, simply looks what windows version you are running so when you have windows 32 bits it starts the x86.exe which is the 32 bits version and if you have 64 bits windows it starts x64.exe which is the 64 bits version
both of these exe files are in the game folder, meaning you can start the x86.exe doubleclicking on it, or the x64.exe
for the trainer to work we need to force the game in x86 mode
that's why cal added a x86 launcher that forces the game to start up in x86 mode.
I cannot test it in windows 32 bits since i am running windows 64 bits, and in my case i always get that shader error ,(which when i click ok to get that error window closed,still has the game icon on the taskbar and when i click that icon the game continues loading) when running the x86 on my 64 bits windows. Both the trainer and the editor run without any problem on my system , when i force the game to run in x86 = 32bits mode.
