    Sorry man, that is the only time I had the problem. Are you SURE you didn't install IE10 and that Windows update didn't install it automatically? You might need to check.

    I'm 100% sure. Ever since that debacle years ago with XP pack 3 break half the world, I don't ever let ANYTHING update or download automatically.

    Also, I haven't even used IE in years. Never looked back once I got FF and Chrome. When the update for IE10 showed up on Windows Update, I immediately hit Ignore and Hide.

    I thought the same, and have done exactly the same as you bud, however IE 10 STILL got on to my system.

    This walkthrough helped me get rid of it.
