After killing a monster immediately press ESC key then exit game

If you are lucky when you reload the game there will be loot on the ground.

When you reload the game, the game will save so you can not repeat. (one reload per monster)

If you are fighting more than one monster, the 2nd monster will sometimes trigger a save when it moves or attacks, so try to fight one monster at a time for best effect.
