well i cant speak for all smokers but i belive most of us smoke in order to consume nicotine, for pipe smokers for example it's all about the taste and the fact that pipe smoking is a very complex and satisfying hobby..
I smoked a pack of Winfield Red a day for 8 years(16-25)and quit the day after my wedding,still smoke cigars on occasion which are La Paz Corona especial but ive chuffed the electric puha(NZ slang)every day since I was 16 and while im in the position to afford it will continue too
i started out smoking black & mild cigars, now i smoke Marlboro blacks non-menthol

I used to be a smoker, but haven't touched any since February. Took me 2 weeks to use the Nicotine Inhaler and get off the tobacco, I used to smoke Cigarettes then went onto rolling tobacco because it was way cheaper, especially in the UK, now I save even more money by not smoking.
