Hey does anyone know how to edit your money in this game? I have seen some posts about editing money on other forums with a hex editor, but I can't get it to work no matter what I try. and yes I did post this question on those forums too.

No need, want crazy fast money? Just kill the bears in the north-eastern corner of the frontier, then sell the pelts by sending out trade caravans. This will get you money faster than any other method,especially if you take out the forts (less taxes) and upgrade the wagons.
To kill bears easily: -Air Assassinations -Bait, then hide and kill -Complete 2-4 part timed event (B, B+A, B+Y, B+X)
Bear pelts are the best item in the game for selling/trading.
