yup , afraid so. i couldnt get it to work either, with both original release & steam release

it works somehow... except that there's no infinite ammo & everyone is on godmode including you

even tried picking then throwing then pick up again but still no ammo

works with version 1.1 however there is a bug in chapter 3 "Decadence" where you cant kill the end boss if trainer is activated.

Was struggling getting past this glitch in chapter 3 but I found the line in the save file that controls unlocked levels and was able to just bypass chapter 3.

If you'd like to do this simply go to your hotline miami folder. For me it was C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\hotline_miami

You want to find the saves.dat file and open it with notepad++

Then go to the second line and change all the zero's to ones. So for me it originally looked like this "11111000000000000000" as to where now it looks like this "11111111111111111111"

This unlocks all chapters & they are now selectable on the title screen.Remember to backup your original save file in case you screw it up somehow.

Not really bothered as its a throw away game, and addictive fast to try again, but Im having probs with the trainer on 64b Win7 system- I start it, no problemo, run the game, same, says activated, all good, but as soon as I click the game itself I get..

Same here. Unlimited Health causing some problems.
