You're likely doing everything correctly Hooker87 -- When the game gets patched the editor and trainer need to get updated too. The CH heroes are always quick to turn around updated editors and trainers, so I'd keep checking back at this page and download the new versions when they're available.

It's already updated and sent to Chris. Just be patience, it should be posted soon.

It is because STEAM sucks...!!! They force updates because they want to. Even if you edit the game in STEAM to NOT UPDATE, it does. The only way to stop it is to take STEAM OFFLINE. Then when you go online to look for a game, it automatically updates all updates that you turned off... STEAM SUCKS....

Blame STEAM

released on 08/11/12 X Com EDITOR (not trainer) consistently fails to function properly:
- loads OK, saying "game is not running"
- when launching XCom Microsoft.net v.4.0 says all the time "unhandled exception has occurred ...
- trainer does not load from the main screen.
If the game is started first, trainer loads OK and says "the game is running", but crashes at the first attempt to change values.
Win 7 Pro; X Com steam version updated on 08/11/12; AV protection (Symantec) was never a problem with other games/trainers

Any ideas/suggestions?

Start as administrator, disable your AV (even if it was never a problem) as well as any other security software. If this does not help, start game first and then the editor.

thx for new editor... working with latest Steam version of game but not 100%... money/scientist/workers not changing value (doing whats do before in old version of trainer), editor read correct value but not changing
