XCOM: Enemy Unknown Message Board  

Waited for weeks - it launches late then it crashes when clicking on Start Game!!!

Update your drivers and restart your computer.

All I had to do was quit steam, start it back up, and it worked. Did your microsoft direct x crap complete installation?

I had to change the initial video settings. It did not start with my native resolution (1920x1080).

When I changed the settings to 1920x1080 it crashed but when I restarted it was set to the correct resolution and did not crash during game play.

Interesting though, it does crash when I quit to windows, so did the demo.

BTW - All drivers were updated a few days ago. I'm running Win 7 64, i7, 12GB, with a GTX 560 Ti card (DX 11) on a 40" LCD (HDMI).

Was having "corrupt file" errors, restarting steam fixed this.
