So many of you may have read the articles online about FROM Software having a not so easy time porting this game to the PC.
There are going to be a few things that some people won't like. For starters, frame rate and graphics will apparently be identical, in fact the same as the consoles. Which means we'll have all the same framerate issues that the consoles versions have. On top of that, other articles reveal that the game's internal resolution is locked at 1024x720 no matter what resolution we choose and we're capped at 30fps. From a review on gamespot they mention how the controls aren't really optimized for the keyboard and you're better off playing with a controller like plugging in an Xbox controller or any other gamepad that's supported.
I had a feeling a topic like this would come up after the games release but I wanted to bring this up now and discuss this with anyone out there that's already pre-ordered the game or still debating whether or not to get it.
Honestly, I myself won't be taking too much issue. I prefer the controller for games with fancier and more precise footwork, and even with the limitations and hiccups the graphics had on 360, it's still gorgeous.
OMG, I just finished downloading the steam version. Playing without the 360 controller is almost impossible and it crashes every time I want to save at the bonfire. Bad business.
yeah i do agree that the controls are derpy without a controller, and as for the bonfire crash, i think that's your version that has the problems, i've been to many bonfires and have not crashed even once
