My hands have been steadily developing a painful symptom when playing. So far this has only happened with StarCraft and games similar to it (such as DotA). What happens is that after playing about 3 or 4 games my hands start to feel extremely stiff and painful to move (almost like cemented in the home row position for touch typing). My fingers look and feel bent in a very unnatural position and just refuse to move. There's also a faint pins and needles feeling in them (though not as prominent as say a leg falling asleep). I usually finish the match I'm in and quit after that. It's really bothersome when I want to keep playing but it greatly reduced my ability to play matches.

Really hope it isn't anything too serious.
    Your bitterness, I will dispel

Sounds pretty similar to carpal tunnel syndrome. Sooner you get it checked out the easier it is to treat/heal.

    Best of luck

The same thing has been happening to my right elbow. I think that I may be getting arthritis in my elbow though.

It sounds like RSI (repetitive strain injury), its pretty common for gamers who play games that require a lot of continuous rapid clicking, or keyboard action. Go see a doctor about it, depending on how serious it is, it can be managed or healed.

    Maybe it's the way you're typing/clicking?

I do a crap load of typing/clicking at work in 10 hour shifts and I don't have any inhibiting side effects. Sometimes I have to click my knuckles to free them up a bit but never any pain etc.

Yeah, it sounds a lot like the kind of stuff that RSI blankets. Definitely see a doctor. Probably just wind up with a referral to an orthopedic surgeon to actually get anything done, but hey.

I had almost the same symptoms in my hands and feet. I was diagnosed with diabetes. Maybe you should have that checked out as well.
