You know people need to learn not to blame a game straight away and check up on how their PC is setup etc.

I have seen people complain, but it ends up either the following..

    1. Using beta drivers
    2. Overclocking
    3. Millions of little apps installed and running at same time
    4. Two or more Anti-Virus or Anti-Spyware programs running
    5. Poor unbranded hardware being used
    6. Haven't taken care of their PC for a long time, i.e. no defraging etc.
Oh and Don't forget some tuts on ASM and defeating DMA

Things happen. As long as the problem is fixed, I don't mind helping.

But we all know that this game has its PC problems..

but yeh out of your whole list you got going there,
i dont have any of those problems.
I do look after my PC with a real anti-virus program, not those that tax the system resources
I dont overclock at all (not my thing)
I had my computer built all 3500$ worth with quality parts and i defrag regularly

so yeh none of those a problem

I know you probably arnt pointing the finger at me but i thought id just clear that part of it out the way.

im glad i got it going though and yeh it does still have its problems but im hoping that a patch will rectify those problems in due time

    thanks for the assistance guys

Actually, Rage was plagued with bugs, both in terms of gameplay and graphics, and only a relatively small amount of them were down to the PC it was being run on.

I'm pretty sure it was patched at least once, though it was still littered with bugs - just not to such an extreme - but I can't remember if it was ever patched again. It certainly wasn't before I finished it and uninstalled it to make some space.

Ok, this has probably been said on many forums and on many occasions..
but seriously what is up with these damn graphics issues with this damn "Rage" game.

Ive only had it one day and its p*ssing me off.

Its been out for months and has had stuff all patches..
AMD have released an ATI card update which seems to do nothing!

Do i honestly have to update my computer (when theres nothing wrong with it) or figure out how to fix these graphics issues myself.. seems to me the dev's and AMD don't want to.

I find it quite stupid that i have to create files, run console commands, put this info here, change CCC settings there just over one damn game. Grrr

a game should be a simple as install and run..

Someone has posted a graphix tweak fix tip in STEAM message
board for this problem. I just found it and I am working on
putting the changes into play to see if they work for me as
    well.

There are a number of responses that seem to indicate that
the tips that the OP posted are working for them so it is
worth checking out. The main information is nVidia directed
but the basic settings should also be availiable with the
AMD/ATI video card models as well.

I will try to remember to post an update here if their tips
work for me too. Mine is an nVidia GeForce 660 2gb PCI-E.

Check it out and give it a shot to see if it works for you
too. Good luck with your attempt as well!
