Hello, I was wondering how long does it take for places to Respawn, Do I need to sleep in a Bed or can I just stand in a spot for a period of time for it to respawn?

Also do Guards respawn??

About 3 in-game days from what I understand. However, some places may not respawn, and some will respawn with different npcs or monsters. Named mobs usually do not respawn (shouldn't respawn). Guards should respawn, but some of the one's I've noticed seem to take more than 3 days. *I killed all the gate guards in each major city/town to get the 1000coin bounty achievement and it seems it's taken more than a whole in-game week for some of them to come back. Falkreath and Riften still have no guards at the gate (it's been about 2 in-game weeks now), but Solitude's and Whiterun's guards were back in place within 1 game day.

actually the "vanilla" respawn is longer.. for "cleared" areas it take about a ingame MONTH to respawn and the rest takes about 10 ingame days. wich leads me to suggest download mod for respawning timers. aviable here Link
