I need some help badly here! I am 70% done and have 169 hours in the game and now I am stuck in a cave. Its family Heirloom side Quest given by Skjor. Well in the cave you drop down a small waterfall (with no way back up) and well everytime I go to exit the cave at the end It kicks me to my desktop! If I could only jump higher! Another problem is there is one of the unusal stones that you need 24 of in the damn cave! there a couple spots where if I try to go to them on the world map it kicks me straight to desk top! Statrting to get annoyed with games from Steam. I bought Rage from them and it worked great, until the first updat and hasn't worked since!

Which cave are you in? Since this is one of Skjor's radiant quests the location/item/enemy/objective is randomly generated. Also, does it boot you to desktop every time you try to exit this particular cave through the only "non-cheating" exit? If so, open console and type TCL to no-clip up that waterfall (remember to turn off TCL before you exit there) and see if that works. Or, as Rafahell suggested, try typing in console COC WHITERUN after you get the heirloom and strange gem. That teleports you to a small bridge outside Whiterun which is close enough to Skjor to walk there and turn in.
I've started getting a few crashes to desktop since the 1.3.7 patch when I open doors to new cells, but only later in the game. I don't know if this has anything to do with the crashes, but I noticed I started to get them (still rarely) only after my save files were over 11MBs each and only after 2-3 hours of playing without stopping.
If you are constantly crashing on Fast Travel and Exiting/Entering caves or buildings or new cells, try turning off autosaves for a while. Clean up your old saves by deleting ones you know you'll not need (such as that save from hour 4 when you're already in hour 100+ and you saved real quick to go pee). If you do turn off AutoSave be sure to SAVE OFTEN manually... which you should be doing anyway
