Hi! I saw a thread about a workaround for the 4GB fix, but it was closed and I couldn't post there.

Anyways, I too use the fix and it changes the process name of Skyrim to "TESV.exe.4gb *32" so that the trainer is unable to find the executable.

Is there anyway to redirect the trainer to look for this name? Using this fix has been the only way I can play for longer than 5 minute intervals.

    Thanks!

I am sad to here you are having such bad issues with the game. I am so surprised there is so many issues when I have not experienced them and am like 102 hours into playing the game. I have had like one or two crashes but thats really my fault as I was straining my system hehe, Now to my point. I do not think its just the name its looking for. The trainer would need to be changed to bypass the changes. So it can work with the new LAA mod. But like I said. I do not think the CHT will do that since the mod is public made and is not official game mod.

But if people keep asking they might just get annoyed and retire the game. So let them decide.

You may not have to worry for very long the Patch for Skyrim is suppose to be released on Wednesday the 29. So hopefully this will fix the LAA issues because the patch notes make a reference to it Link or Wednesday the 30 of November according to the Bethesda blog even though its the 29th, makes me wonder what calender they are all looking at.

If this list of patch don't work for us may the gods have mercy on our computers for all the exe editing that we do.

I also have over 100 hours played, but I am getting lots of crashing after steam did their update on the game. Before their sneaky update I didnt crash a single time, go figure hehe.

It would be nice if we could point the trainer to a different .exe. I also use the 4GB LAA mod and the trainer doesn't work when using that .exe.

    Look for this Tool...

    Large Address Aware from FordGT90Concept

this worked Fine for me in Basic Mode (it´s only one klick after pointing to the executable) and Trainer still works fine for me too... ;-)

Do you have the US version? I've already tried using the LAA tool to mod the EXE directly. It used to work, but Steam loaded a patch that did a checksum before running the game, so now this method doesn't work.

Since you mod the EXE, it fails the checksum, and won't even let you run the game.

Run Steam in offline mode and that won't happen.
