I checked with Rocksteady forum and a lot of users are posting tons of problems using DX11. I too experience major lagging in DX11 but when I switch to DX9 it's staying above 60FPS. It appears the coding and/or optimizing for DX11 was not addressed by the devs and or QA division.

The devs have put up a sticky saying they are aware of the DX11 problems and they will be putting out a patch and also aware of the save game issues as well.

Pretty disappointed in that this should have been already worked out since the PC version was delayed some 5+ weeks!!!

In the land of software and gaming, it's not so much about how good your rig is nowadays (since the price per performance in hardware is increasing exponentially due to moore's law). It's more about how well the software is optimized to play something

I am sure if someone spent an entire year trying to optimize this game specifically for a computer made 7 years ago, they could pull it off with 30fps, on the other hand, i saw a dude with the top and best gpu from Nvidia and getting under 10fps..... software optimization (or artificial poor optimization to increase hardware sales? conspiracy anyone? lol )

    I'm using an Intel 980 i7 3.33Mhz, an EVGA 590GTX 3GB graphics card, 12GB 1600Mhz RAM, and Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit).

Running everything on Max with DX11 on...

Nvidia 32AA, Max Physics, Everything on Ultimate, with DX11 features on High - runs smooth for must part but hiccups everything 10 seconds or so. Like frame rates go from 60fps to 1 and back to 60 again. Annoying.

With DX11 on lowest settings it does the same.

Turn DX11 off with everything else still maxed out (including physics) and it plays smooth as butter with no hiccups at all. DX11 apparently has a few issues and the game will need a patch.

But it still looks amazing with DX11 off and everything else maxed out.
