For anyone having problems installing from disc I have to make a Disc image of the 2 Discs (would not read the 2 drives) i then installed the upto date version of Origin 8.3.1.9 Then ran Setup again. Agree all the crap Start download It said preparing download The speed is 10-14mb/s which said it was coming of the disc my speed was not that high. U can test it by plugging out ur Cable, if it stops ur downloading it from the net, If it Does not, the YESSS, it is loading of the cd.
U have to update the game then with a 400mb patch
Just in Case anyone comes here looking for help installing from Disc MODS

Do you have the Limited Edition Version? The reason I'm asking, I do and this version required a 11.4GB download from Origin. Trust me, I talked to EA's worthless help number twice! After that download, then it accessed my DVD, but only Disc 1. Never did ask for my Disc 2. Contacted EA again, they didn't have a clue, kept on telling me go to Origin and it will work. My game does run fine, but the Trainer doesn't work...haven't figured that one out yet.
Please let me know what BF3 DVD version you have. If you don't have the Limited Edition and the Trainer works, I'll be looking to send my version back and get the plain version...thanks.
