So here's where I stand on this item: After re-installing Borderlands so everything is nice and fresh I have the most recent version of the trainer. I have turned off stat tracking and created a permission in my anti-virus (avast!) so nothing hangs up yet I'm still getting this runtime error whenever I use the mega trainer. Has anyone come up with a definitive solution to this problem? I only started a fresh thread on this because I noticed that previous threads regarding this issue just seemed to drop off a few months back.
In the event that my system hardware comes into question I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 on the AMD Phenom 2 X6 1100T backed up by 16 gigs of RAM. My video is cared for by the 2gb Radeon HD 6950. This isn't the first time I've had trouble with a trainer from here but the solutions before now have been posted on the forums and haven't been all that serious.
Thank goodness I didn't actually EARN all those levels or I'd be REALLY irked!
Let me know what you've got.
Thanks

Borderlands has had outstanding problems with its coding with the Microsoft C++ runtimes. Your best bet would be to uninstall all version of the C++ runtime (2005, 2008, and 2010) and reinstall them from the Microsoft Download Center and see if that corrects the problem.
Make sure you run Microsoft Update after re-installing these runtimes as there are important security updates to have.
