Does anyone know how to get the Cuprino car without winning the Dusty 8 Race? I am not good at races that is why I play first person shooters not Grand Theft Auto. Is there a Console command (~) that will let get the car or get first place in the race. Without a work a round on this I can not continue with this game. That would suck big time.

+1 here for a cheat to have this car. Racing using the keyboard is a nightmare to me Hope our trainer wizards can come up with an option to win first place in any racing, and that would be a godsend.

The racing isn't that bad, especially if you fully upgrade your car, I beat him easilly because my car was so fast, much faster than his without even using my boosters once.

EDIT: Plus, you can't just cheat to get the Cuprino I think, it would still want you to do your mish, unless there's a console cheat to get past races or automatically win, I think you have to do it.

I just can't seem to win the caprino race and I've tried everything. Can somebody help me, maybe with a save game or something? I'd hate to quit the game, it's so much fun.

when going for the caprino as soon the race starts use the weapon mutant bash car give you.. blow up the opponents.. slow down if you must but do not stop. and use boost as much as possible.
Since there are people who give me crap for my grammar and is to lazy to check my profile I will say it here as well. I am dyslexic so give me a break as I *TRY* to spell correctly.

Be sure to utilise the Bash TV Quick Item you get with the car. It'll destroy all vehicles in front of you allowing you to jump into the lead (they'll respawn after a few seconds, but between the time it takes for them to respawn and get back to full speed it's long enough). Just don't use them too often, as you have a limited amount and you don't want to run out before the final lap.

A good idea is to keep as close to the lead as you can using the boost in the right places for the first two laps, then use all of the weapons on the last lap to keep the lead.

Using the boost at the right time is also essential. Use your boost on the longer straight(ish) parts, and the sections with long curves.

Lastly, choose the right path. There's a few sections where you get the option of two paths. On these you want to pick the ones which take you further out. These tend to be the long curves I mentioned in the last paragraph. It's easy to control the car while boosting on these parts, and can often get you the lead.

Oh, and also go out for a drive and destroy bandit cars. You'll get racing certificates from Sally as well as money. You can then use these to upgrade your car. Do all of the time trials you can too (I don't know if there's more than the one you must do as part of the story though).

I'm with you in that I hate driving games and won't be doing any of the races other than the time trial and this race to win the Caprino, plus I have RSI so my reaction speed isn't what it used to be, but I managed to win the race first time around (just barely, but a win is a win), so don't give up. It's as much about your strategy as it is about your skill at driving.
