    Greetings,

First i should tell you that my objective posting this thread is to get answer from gamer. I've post this in respective ASU* website but their answer quite dispointing.

    Ok,

I am having terrible lag (also Static Noise emmited from VGA) when playing Call of Duty:Black ops and Front Mission Evolved where The lag always comes when AI/ enemy squads came in.
This lag never shown when i still use GTX 9600 G*GABYTE.
I have done several trial to solve this but nothing happen, such:
    1. uninstall current driver and physic driver,
    2. cleaning registry with driver sweeper (3D guru.com),
    3. install with most updated forcedriver 27X.XX. and voila.. lag still happen

    Here's my pc spec:

    Processor: Phenom X2 555/3.2Ghz
    Motherboard: ASUS 870/USB3
    Memory: Patriot, vx 1600LLK, 2x2G
    Graphics Card: ASUS, GTX 460 & 1G
    Storage: Sigit 160G & WD BC 500G
    Optical Storage: Lite-On, iHas324
    HSF/Cooling: Existing
    Casing/PSU: CM690/ CM Silent Pro 500W
    OS: XP.SP2 & 7

Do you have same problem? How to fix Lag and static noise?
    Thanx
    Best regards,
    R.Dhanur

Have you tried reinstalling DirectX 9 for XP and Update the DX11 on 7?

Also check that you haven't set anything previously in the Nvidia control panel to let the CPU use Physx and CUDA elements, it should be used onboard.

Failing that it could be the GPU is experiencing problems like Artefacts or hardware degredation, if its still under warranty get it changed, ASUS has to honour that warranty.
Oh and Don't forget some tuts on ASM and defeating DMA

Is it happening in other games, and not just those? If it's just them, maybe CoD: BLOPS and that other one have some sort of compatibility issue of a sort. But yeah, your hardware may be failing.

It is an issue with the cod:bo itself. A bad port i guess.

The cod:bo uses CPU instead of the GPU for calculations so if you don't have a good CPU, it would lag. To solve it (or at least reduce some lagging), find the cfg files and enable the options to use "multi-threading".

I can't recall the exact cfg file name and configurations to enable but just Google. Most people had problems with this game even on a geforce gtx 580! and the cfg file tweaking helps a bit (it solved the issue for me at least).

    Hope this helps.

hmmm.. cfg modifications? i'll try that, but cod:bo didn't lag when i was using gtx 9600 (and same phemon X2 555 cpu)

This will check and download if you have the most recent version of DirectX as well as some optional components that enhance the game.

    Link

The highest version for Windows XP is version 9.
The highest version for Windows 7 is version 11.
