I have the same problem My Witcher.exe file in task-manager tells me that i have version 1.4.5.1304
There is no trainer for this version that I can find.
I downloaded from Amazon but this game is not showing
up in my Steam. I just bought this and the game notes
say its version 1.5 but I cannot get any trainer to work.

Just to inform you that The Witcher 1.4.5.1304. Is actually 1.5. This was brought up out side of this site. But then I did not use that trainer for the game. Now, if your having problems with the trainer. Set it to Run as Admin. Also if your Steam is set to run as admin the trainer will need to be to. Also Tell you A/V to leave a folder where you keep your trainers alone from the Resident Shield. That should work. As it works via a 32b vista system.

The trainer itself keeps crashing on me though no other trainers are doing that

Trainer is also crashing on me, immediately. I am using the GoG release with their crappy little launcher.

Trainer opens and immediately closes like something is killing the process name.

Likely your AV, firewall or other security software and/or not right clicking run as admin on trainer. Temporarily uninstall your AV software and then try it and see if that is what is causing it.

One question, Have you tried to open the trainer after the load?

The most current version of this trainer for The Witcher 1 Enhanced Edition 1.4.5.1304 (Task Manager) -> Shows as 1.5 (A) within GOG (I'm using the GOG edition) does start, shows the UI, shows hte status bar text "Activating" and then it closes all of sudden automatically.

Tested with all antivirus whitelisted, disabled, firewalls as well.
Started as admininstrator.
Whitelisted the CheatHappens folder in c:\users as well.
Started the trainer before and after the game was loaded. Same behaviour.
Windows 10 64bit. Tested with Windows XP, 7 and 8 compatiblity modes as well.

Anything else I can test or provide as information?
I'd really like to use this trainer

Update:
The STEAM version of the trainer seems to work but as I do a double tap on W e.g. the game crashes if the trainer is active.
