I to get the same error on the retail(pop-cap)version of the game.

Ok moved trainer to game install directory and it worked, however after I exited the game game after completing adventure mode the trainer now says it needs a internet connection to authenticate, Even though it has already done so the first play though of the game.

/: I have the same problem with the Popcap Goty version (via Origin) of the game and the Goty trainer. However, even after I moved the trainer to the game directory it still does not find the game.
