X3: Terran Conflict Message Board  

I recently bought this game, and as a fan of BSG, DS9, and other sci-fi shows, I quickly fell in love with the atmosphere of this game. However, I have run into an extremely annoying problem. I have died five times with the assassin background, but not from user error. No, every time I have died, it has been from one of two reasons: Either my ship's auto-pilot crashed me into something, or the other ships that I own crash into me when they are on auto-pilot. Is there some sort of mod/script change that would make the artificial intelligence more, I don't know, intelligent? Watching the AI try to go through a gate is just painful, like watching a drunk trying to make a K-turn. Help?

X3's developer's site has lots of modding posts etc. Also you may want to patch the game up just incase.

If you have a legit game and register your game with them they allow you to use a patch that won't require the need of the disc. Plus as said you have access to the forums where the modders are

There is no mod that fixes the AI collision detection. It is horrendous, no getting around it. All you can do is try to enjoy the game while working around the unreliable AI pilots. And buy salvage insurance, for those times when your wingmen clip you and take you out.

Man this game is just much more fun when there ai sucks.
Atleast my ships dont crash into me.. but the eneemy is really suicidel sometimes, hahaha fcking fun to see them fly into eatchother and commets
