He enabled an intentional error which causes the game to crash with the error "Unable to shade polygons" if and only if the user is running a pirated version of the game. He plays it off like it's a bug and asks if anyone is having problems.
Lo and behold, all the pirates go "omg not working" and are quickly banned from forums and some from Steam.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------- Your bitterness, I will dispel
The error happened ot me, though I bought it through Steam. He told me it was because I hadn't updated in a long time, and jsut to update, so I did. No more error on my end. ^_^

Kind of a moot point... both those programs have free versions that do more than most people need them to anyhow.
But I agree. Sometimes I feel the #1 reason for piracy is stupid pricing. $60 for black ops? Geez. Might as well charge my first born to fill my car with gas. Once.
