i confess...years ago...when 64mb RAM was considered a big thing and upgrading to 128mb RAM was an even bigger deal..was a time when i really didn't like RTSs and hadn't played any..at all. i had this cousin who was in absolute love with RTSs and used to play this game called Sudden Strike2. whenever i went to visit him i always found him playing this game. and i remember giving him such a hardtime about it and he always took it in stride and said that it was one of those games that ran properly on 64mb RAM and i used to keep urging him to upgrade and he always said he couldn't afford to.
i often offered to help but i guess his pride never let him accept my help. and he continued to play that game continuously for about 4 years almost everyday and back then i never really understood y because i was always into bang-bang and boom-boom u know. but this thread from a fellow gamer asking for a good RTS brought back memories and seeing how i really love RTS's now sort of made me feel guilty about giving my cuz such a hardtime. i really feel guilty about it. so..just thought i'd get off my chest and i learnt over time never to give anyone a hardtime regarding their personal preferences and likes and dislikes.

Back in those days is when I played RTS's, and now I don't like them.

i guess we've both gone through reversals of sorts ...i think that's probably because when u did play RTS's that period could be termed as the 'golden age' of RTS's. now the really good ones r so few and far between. if my current self went back in time to meet my former self...i don't think i'd like my former self.
