I have absolutely had it with game developers putzing around, not doing their bloody jobs and giving us these completely half-arsed games at exorbitant prices.

The last 4 games I purchased have had problems that made them all but unplayable.

New Vegas crashed immediately after the intro, and while I managed to get around that, the game still suffers from massive performance issues.

Dogfighter does not support the world's most popular and prolific joystick, the Saitek x52. Unfortunately for everyone, the game just doesn't work with a keyboard an mouse.

Black Ops broke DirectX and required a full OS reinstall in order to work at all. This in turn broke every other game and program installed on my computer, including Steam and all its games. Even now, reinstalling these games doesn't solve their particular issues.

And now Hot Pursuit gives me a blank screen on startup. The only thing I can do with HP is close it.

If I have to patch and fix your games, developers, then that means you're obviously not doing your jobs. And as a result of that, you don't deserve my money.

    Throw a blanket over it

That's why you stick to one game, and one game only. World of Warcraft.

Or Minecraft if you want to save a ton of money.

Why don't you download the games from the net (yes, illegally assuming there's no demo) to try them out first? If you like the game and it runs fine on your pc then you buy it, if you don't like it you just delete it.
This is why I don't pre order games anymore (AoC being the last and WoW being the exception), it may end up being all hype and I'd like my money to go to something I'll enjoy.
Trust is a fragile thing. Once trust is lost, it can be impossible to recover. Those we're closest to can betray us,and total strangers can come to our rescue. In the end, most people decide to trust only themselves. It really is the simplest way to keep from getting burned.

Yea, I can't even get the Witcher to install. The bonus disc screws it all up, and theres no way to install just the game disc as its all joined together in the installation process. Waste of money.

I am starting to think console is the way to go.... All this crap with PC's these days. If it's not hardware upgrades that are required then the games are full of bugs.

I haven't had a single problem with those games you mentioned Thrawn.

Maybe they just cannot handle powerful rigs like the one you have...LOL

    1) Fallout New Vegas: I used to experience a ton of bugs and performance issues until I updated it to 1.2.0.285 (I guess I got that correct). And I just finished the game with no issues.

    2) Hot Pursuit: Are you using the No DVD crack by that Chinese group? I tried using that and it gave me problems. I am playing with the original exe right now and have no issues.

    3) Call of Duty - Black Ops: This game gave me nightmares until I updated it. Still I have some performance issues but I finished the game without any such noticeable disturbances.
Life is best for those who enjoy it, difficult for those who analyze it and worst for those who criticize it.
