A 3-year old has her teddy taken away at the screening point. Of course, this upsets her, and she gets a pat-down because she won't cooperate with the TSA agents who took it from her.

I find this sort of news sickening. As much as the government, TSA, and others who support these draconian measures say these levels of 'security' are necessary, there is no level of safety or security worth giving up your basic human rights, common sense, or decency for.
Really? You really think that taking a teddy from a three year old and then patting her down (I should mention here that 'patting down' includes being searched in the groin area) is necessary? A THREE YEAR OLD? What is a baby gonna do that would make her a threat to national security?

If a moment of inconvenience for some kid who probably forgot about it within the next few hours keeps teddy bombers off our planes, I'm cool with that.

I wouldn't underestimate a childs memory, things like that can leave an imprint.

I just wanted to somehow finagle cowboy bebop into this thread: Link.
