SOLVED PROBLEM * Turn off survivors trainer feature before entering an area that makes "double boss" encounters invincible.*
I am at the stage of the game where I fight Pearce & Mark in the gassy tunnels. The problem is I get there and they seem to be invincible to my attacks. I tried turning off ALL the trainer features (mid fight) and fighting them but they still seem to be invincible (while i took damage). I also tried all the combo melee attacks and non seem to work. The only thing that seems to work are the sonic weaps and it makes them throw up. However, this does no damage and gives me no advantage other than they do not fire at me for a second.
Am I missing something obvious here or is the trainer borking this boss battle? I tried twice now and same thing both times. I also had the fore thought to make sure my time was advanced within the timeline for the second try (i also saved as close as I could to the fight the second time around in case i needed to try a third time.)
My next step is turning off ALL trainer features before I get to the boss I guess. I just wanted to know if there was something else causing this problem.
Thanks in advance!

Yea it was the trainer... I turned off all features right before I went inside and i was able to defeat them very very quickly.
So if anyone else runs into this problem wait until your about to enter the final tunnel sliding door and turn off all features and it will not glitch this fight.

Same thing happens when you fight the tiger & ted, you can beat the tiger but ted stays invicible (solution turn off super survivors), & on survivors that need a few slaps to get them to join you. I found I had to leave the area to cause a loading screen, turn the option off, then go back to the area.

My survivors are invicible whenever I load a saved game now withOUT using my trainer. This is so frustrating and I cannot beat Ted and Snowflake right now!
I am slightly confused as to how I would fix this problem or if I have to get a new save now.

Yep platapus is right. I can verify that the super survivors is the cause of this problem. only solution is to not use it. Unfortunatley

I had that problem with Ted and the Tiger, so i just quit out of the game. reloaded my save and didn't turn on super survivors. If it does come problem maybe they can add something called weak survivors where makes they very weak and hit kills them?

That would be a great option.
Super Survivors is excellent in it's own right but it does kind of screw certain missions up.

you dont need to turn of all trainer options only the one related to the survivors..
Since there are people who give me crap for my grammar and is to lazy to check my profile I will say it here as well. I am dyslexic so give me a break as I *TRY* to spell correctly.
