I love Reach but Mass Effect is the best game series, in my opinion.

I've played Final Fantasy XIII and it's great and all, but not sure if it's what I consider the game of the year.

Red dead Redemption - Still playing it actually, I love the GTA series and I have to admit I actually like Red Dead Redemption better then GTA, the GTA style game play is more then welcome to take the next step into the wild wild west. RDR does have its flaws, and I don't know if it is the so called best but regardless it is still my personal favourite this year.

Final Fantasy XIII had told the best story within a game this year, but definitely not the best game this year. the game was very lacking beyond the very good storyline delivery. This is coming from a FF nut, FF10 was the last truly great overall Final Fantasy.
