The game doesn't support the wireless Xbox 360 controller at all. Only the wired version (or a wired version of an officially licensed Xbox 360 controller aka MadCatz).

You can't remap your keyboard/mouse controls from inside the game. You must manually edit a relatively confusing text file in the game's directory.

The game's graphics options are extremely limited and some of them don't seem to have much of effect on anything - like shadow quality for instance (changing it seems to only toggle them on or off and when they're on, they're still Xbox 360 quality shadows). Of note is the blur options - this is not motion blur, this is an actual blur effect that makes everything look out of focus in cutscenes. It is recommended you disable this feature because it's distracting.

Finally, the game seems to have issues with onboard audio chipsets and certain audio frequencies, which causes the game to crash at run. The solution so far is to experiment with your audio control panel until you find a setting that doesn't make the game crash.

Copy to your DR2 game folder. Run it.
Load the 360 wireless controller default
Controller 1:
Force feedback tab - turn force feed back off
Advanced tab - turn native mode off
Options tab:
Change Fake API from normal to compatibility

Game is much, much more playable with a controller.

Who knows, we may get updates fixing all these issues. look at GTA IV, major updates were applied after years of the game release.
(i just hope it doesn´t take years )

i dont know what version your using but my xbox controller for the pc works fine i am very disapointed with the end of the game im not going to spoil it for others but let me just say all the missions rescuing pepole seems pointless glad i didnt buy ?
