I mostly listen to J-Rock. Unlike many of the western bands, their alternative artists tend to have a more relaxing beat to them which you can listen to the melody instead of the screaming lyrics or the heavy distortion guitars. Though I only listen to three main artists usually, I'm looking at a few more.-The Pillows -Ellegarden -Orange Range Despite the above, I do listen to Linkin Park every once in awhile. Their two first albums (Hybrid Theory and Meteora) are pretty good while the Minutes to Midnight album is just a failure in my eyes. -Linkin Park Going on with that, I have started to pick up Zeth's taste in Sum 41. I heard their Underclass Hero wasn't as good as the original ones (which I am getting), but I found many of those songs enjoyable. I'm starting to get into others similar to these guys like (i.e. Blink 182) -Sum 41 -Blink 182 In terms of classical music, I'm not much into true classical music. The closest I get to is Videogame OSTs. The closest I have would be the Final Fantasy VII collection and the Piano version of selected songs. Either way, Nobuo Uematsu is a musical genius. -Nobuo Uematsu -Koji Kondo And of course I listen to the classic rocks of way back in the day. I grew up listening to it and I still like it to this day. -AC/DC -Aerosmith -ZZ Top I'm not much of the metal mix into my songs...I suppose the only artist I listen to in this sub-genre would be Metallica...sorry but this style just doesn't cut it forme. -Metallica I absolutely hate rap...it's a style for people to brag on what they have with the worst singing talents known to man. I'm indifferent to Country music (real country, not the pop/rock mixes today that suck); while I won't listen to it on my own, I don't care if I hear it.
In a sense, my music catagories are not very good to what they really are, but I don't care since it works for me.
