This is kind of the question I ask every time I see a 'early access' game now. Is it worth it?
With no way of knowing where this game will be in a years time, its hard to tell. The premise looks great, but damn it all if we have not been burned a thousand times now by these developers and their early access titles. They promise us the sun on Steam, with their features and dreams. Then a year later, you get a UV Lamp that barely comes close.
Im looking at you Starbound!
Anyways, what say you my fellow CH patrons. Is this game worth much?

For me ... no. I am majorly turned off by the Early Access junk we're seeing more of these days. Steam says 209 games and more to come. Pftttht.
You mentioned Starbound. People are really bummed by that one, saying the updates are so slow we'll all be dead by the time (IF) it's ever finished.
I'm sticking with the slightly older to older titles that are finished and there's many of those I haven't played yet. YMMV.

My issue is just purchasing an early access game is no guarantee that they will finish it. Star Drive is my favorite example. I play Battlemage and I find myself wanting to play skyrim instead.

What I can't tell from the advertising is just whether or not there is any attempt at a plot or if it's just meaningless endless combat
There's no such thing as stupid questions, just stupid people.

I believe what needs to happen with Early Access is Steam needs to stop allowing Devs to put up games that aren't completed. Instead of telling us they might not be completed, tell the Devs that if they do not finish a game, basically getting it to at least a 1.0 version, they will lose access to Steam for any future projects.
Stop allowing these junk games, Steam, and eventually we will all see better quality titles. Maybe if gamers stop buying them and stop paying full retail for games, somebody will get the message.

I kinda feel the same way about playing Lichdom and wanting to play skyrim, but I played skyrim too much, there is nothing else I can do with the damn game, but play the same boring crap over again... I come to an area and say, oh look a place I been before, where instead I should be saying, oh look a new area to explore... so for me I like Lichdom, and never said I don't like it,, I just think there should be more, just seems like all's the game has to really offer is pretty gfx and endless battle... No "REAL" exploring, no armor upgrades (such as in skyrim) no buying spells or weapons as would be in skyrim, so I loved skyrim and also like Lichdom, but, BUT I would have to say if I just started both games today, then I would choose skyrim over Lichdom... no pun on Lichdom, because to me it is a good game, just less than I expected

I feel the same way about Early Access Games. I believe that Steam need to revise of how Early Access do. Like withheld any half of transactions for that game and will give all that back to the Dev after the game is 100% completed and enter into a stable version. This is a start to get devs going.

I think the game was cheap enough,I had no troubles loading it and never had any crashes even with the updates, just keep loading new trainer updates.
